Russia strikes Kyiv with missiles after Witkoff and Kushner visit

5 Min Read

Church, I want you to look closely at what is happening right now in Eastern Europe. We are seeing a deeply disturbing, yet prophetic, pattern unfold. Every time there is a headline about ‘peace talks,’ ‘ceasefires,’ or diplomatic breakthroughs between Russia and Ukraine, what happens immediately after? The exact opposite. Missiles fly. Infrastructure is struck. The violence escalates.

It is the illusion of peace. And as a watchman, I have to tell you: this is a preview of the end times.

The Bible warns us in 1 Thessalonians 5:3, ‘While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.’

We are watching the world desperately try to manufacture peace through human treaties, while the spirit of war is completely unbound. This back-and-forth deception is a shadow of what is to come. The Antichrist will one day confirm a covenant of ‘peace and safety’ with many (Daniel 9:27), but it will be a fragile, demonic illusion that ultimately leads to the Great Tribulation.

Do not put your trust in princes or in earthly treaties. True and lasting peace will only come when the Prince of Peace returns to establish His Kingdom. Until then, stay alert, stay in the Word, and do not be deceived by the world’s false promises of safety.

Now, let’s look at the details of what just happened…”

Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles on Tuesday, after U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited Ukraine’s capital as part of an effort to resume stalled peace negotiations.

Ukrainian officials said the attack involved ballistic and cruise missiles, according to CNN, and residential buildings in two districts of the city sustained damage as people were urged to remain indoors.

Kyiv’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, said people were trapped inside a residential building after the attacks.

Witkoff said Ukraine and Russia had agreed to a three-day ceasefire before their visit to the region following months without significant progress toward a peace agreement. The ceasefire ended on Tuesday.
