🎧 AUDIO NARRATION BY ARCH
An old outlaw shares his biblical wisdom on mentorship, racial division, and the heart of God.
They call me Arch. They say I’m a relic of a bygone era, a ghost riding the dusty trails of a forgotten West. David asked me to sit in for him. And for me, gladly! For those of you young ones scrolling through your glowing screens in 2026, thinking I’m out of touch with your generation, let me tell you something. I was mentoring a young man named Billy. Many of you today are just like him. Young, strong, exceptionally smart. But Billy had a heavy burden. People judged him by his nationality, by his race, by the blood in his veins rather than the content of his character. I didn’t look at him that way. He was my trusted friend, and in the eyes of God, he was like a son to me.
THE BURDEN OF BILLY
I taught Billy biblical wisdom. I watched the scriptures take root in his heart, and he was generally very hungry to learn more. He wanted to know the mind of the Creator. But the world is a cruel judge. It’s quick to draw its iron and slow to offer grace. I made my share of mistakes in my outlaw days. I’ve got the scars to prove it, and the ghosts to keep me company. I’ve ridden with men who let the bitterness of rejection turn them into monsters. But the greatest mistake a man can make is to let the hatred of the world harden his heart against the love of God.
WISDOM WITHOUT PARTIALITY
The world wants to put you in a box. It wants to label you, divide you, and set you against your neighbor. But the Word of God cuts through all that noise like a sharp two-edged sword. James 3:17 tells us that the wisdom that comes from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Without partiality! That means God doesn’t look at your nationality. He doesn’t look at your race. He looks at the heart.
THE CROSS THAT SHATTERS PREJUDICE
Billy knew that true strength isn’t found in the quick draw of a pistol, but in the quiet strength of a surrendered spirit. Proverbs 16:32 says, “He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.” When the world tells you that you are less than, you must remember Galatians 3:28: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” The cross levels every playing field. It shatters every prejudice.
