“He who gives an answer before he hears, it is folly and shame to him.”
— Proverbs 18:13 (NASB)
🎧 AUDIO NARRATION BY DAVID
The FlyDubai FZ1073 incident, the age of AI misinformation, and how to be a Spiritual Detective in the end times.
Church family, on September 30, 2026, FlyDubai Flight FZ1073 dropped 16,625 feet in just over 30 seconds. The co-pilot had attacked the captain with a crash axe in an attempted terrorist hijacking. It was a terrifying physical attack. But in those exact same 30 seconds, a second attack occurred. An attack on the truth.
Almost immediately, AI-generated fake news exploded across the internet. Fake BBC reports. Fabricated cockpit audio pulled from a 2017 road rage incident. The physical plane was stabilized by a reserve pilot, but the digital narrative was hijacked by lies. This dual threat brings us directly to the ancient wisdom of Proverbs 18.
THE FOOL’S MEGAPHONE (PROVERBS 18)
Technology has not changed the human heart; it has simply given our fallen nature a global, instantaneous megaphone. King Solomon identified the exact spiritual mechanics of misinformation thousands of years ago:
- Proverbs 18:2: “A fool does not delight in understanding, but only in revealing his own mind.” Social media algorithms feed us what we already believe, and AI generates custom content to validate our biases.
- Proverbs 18:8: “The words of a whisperer are like dainty morsels…” Sensational, AI-generated fake headlines are addictive. They are spiritual poison that wounds the body of Christ.
- Proverbs 18:13: “He who gives an answer before he hears, it is folly and shame to him.” The “share” button is the modern embodiment of this verse. We react and repost before the facts are verified.
THE SPIRITUAL DETECTIVE’S TOOLKIT
In the age of artificial intelligence, God is calling us to be Spiritual Detectives. We cannot just consume content; we must cross-examine it. Proverbs 18:17 gives us our marching orders: “The first to plead his case seems right, until another comes and examines him.”
When a sensational headline or prophetic rumor hits your feed, do not just share it. Put on the detective’s hat and ask:
🔍 Is it true? Does it align with the unadulterated Word of God?
🔍 Have I heard the whole matter? Am I reacting to a 10-second clip or a headline?
Have I verified the source? Is it from a reputable, fact-checked outlet, or an anonymous AI-generated blog?
🔍 What will happen if I repeat it? Will sharing this bring life, or will it spread the “wounds of gossip” (Prov 18:8)?
THE PROPHETIC BRIDGE: THE FALL OF BABYLON
This brings us to a profound prophetic connection. Proverbs 18 explains the mechanism of human deception: pride, hasty speech, and loving the first account. But look at Revelation 18:23. It says that in the end times, the global system of Babylon the Great will “deceive all the nations” through her sorcery.
Proverbs shows us how individuals get tricked. Revelation shows us that trickery scaled up to a global, demonic level. Babylon will boast in her security (Rev 18:7), just as the fool’s heart is haughty before destruction (Prov 18:12). The world is running to the crumbling towers of AI, digital wealth, and Babylon’s deception.
But Proverbs 18:10 gives us the ultimate antidote: “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe.” While the world runs to the falling city of Babylon, the righteous run into the unshakeable name of the Lord.
