Bible Stories by Legends: George Washington – The Final Orders & The Spirit of Antichrist

THE MIRACLE OF VALLEY FORGE

When we faced the British, the odds were not merely against us; they were insurmountable by the calculations of men. The British Empire had the ships, the gold, the trained regiments, and the supplies. We had a crumbling Congress, empty armories, and men whose enlistments were expiring.

I looked out over my encampment and saw soldiers wrapped in rags, their feet wrapped in bloody rags, leaving a trail of crimson in the snow. We were starving. We were freezing. The bitter wind cut through our thin blankets, and the frost claimed the lives of more of my men than the enemy’s muskets.

By every metric of warfare, we should have perished in that snow. We should have surrendered. But I will tell you a secret of history that the textbooks often forget: we did not survive by the strength of our arms. We survived by the miraculous intervention of a sovereign God.

When the British had us trapped at Brooklyn, it was God who sent the thick fog to hide our retreat. When we crossed the icy Delaware, it was God who stayed the hand of the freezing waters. When there was no food, He provided. When the enemy was at the gates, He fought for us. We prevailed not because we were mighty, but because the Lord of Hosts was with us.

THE MODERN BATTLEFIELD: ANTICHRIST & COMMUNISM

But as I look across the veil of time to your day, I do not see the redcoats of King George. I see a different kind of enemy. I see a nation that is once again surrounded by insurmountable odds, but this time, the battlefield is not physical. It is spiritual.

I see the spirit of antichrist sweeping through our institutions. The Apostle John warned you that this spirit was already in the world, but today, it has taken the seat of power. It is a spirit that denies the Father and the Son, that calls evil good and good evil, that seeks to erase the very name of Jesus Christ from the public square and the hearts of men.

And alongside it, I see the creeping, suffocating shadow of communism. It is a system that masquerades as equality but delivers only the tyranny of the state. It seeks to strip the individual of the God-given liberty we bled for at Yorktown. It demands that you surrender your conscience, your property, and your families to the altar of the government. It is the same spirit of Babel, building a tower of human control to make a name for themselves, entirely independent of the Creator.

They want to disarm you. They want to bankrupt you. They want to divide you. They want to break your spirit so that you will willingly accept the yoke of slavery.

THE FINAL ORDERS: HOLD THE LINE

But I am here to speak to the troops of today. I am speaking to the Patriots. I am speaking to the true Americans who still hold the line.

Hear me well: Do not give up the struggle.

Do not let the sheer size of the enemy’s forces intimidate you. Do not let the starvation of truth in the media or the freezing winds of cultural mockery cause you to retreat to your tents. You are fighting the same war we fought, only the uniforms have changed. The enemy still seeks to destroy the image of God in man.

But the same God who parted the ice, who fed the starving, and who brought down the mighty British Empire is still on the throne. He has not abandoned His people, and He has not abandoned this land.

Put on the full armor of God. Stand firm in the faith. Speak the truth in love, but speak it with the courage of lions. Defend the vulnerable, protect your families, and hold fast to the Word of Life. When the world tells you the battle is too hard, remember Valley Forge. Remember that God’s miracles are often born in our greatest moments of desperation.
