Peter, Peter, Satan Has Desired to Sift You as Wheat!

My friends, whom I know and who I do not know, and more importantly to our Bible study group, let’s get real.
Peter’s statement of faith is what our enemy, the devil, has been attacking for 2,000 years. It’s the perfect parallel to our final grade at the finish line. Jesus prayed for Peter, and it worked! In the same way, the gates of hell have not prevailed against the Lord’s church!
For 2,000 years, many people have died and entered through the narrow gate through their faith. And how fitting it is that at the end, near the rapture, the parallel is still the same today. The narrow gate is the Philadelphia Church.
The other churches? Some may enter, but they’re not getting as good of a grade as Philadelphia has clearly received. My goal is for the church to be ready. I want you to be counted in the remnant of Philadelphia and not the other ones. The purpose of this Book of Revelation series is to prepare the bride to meet the groom! And that’s what we’re going to do.
Are you ready?
SECTION 1: SARDIS — THE WORKS CHURCH
Jesus starts with Sardis: “You have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.” (Rev 3:1)
This isn’t the atheist. This isn’t the world. This is the believer who thinks doctrine, duty, and dead works equal life. They have the form of godliness but deny the power. They’re busy for God but distant from God.
Modern Sardis looks like:
- ⚖️ Performance-based faith: “I endure, therefore I’m saved.”
- 📜 Doctrinal purity without relational grace.
- 🛑 Spiritual sleep: Managing religion instead of abiding in Christ.
Jesus’s warning? “If you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief.” (v.3) Not to save. To surprise.
SECTION 2: PHILADELPHIA — THE REMNANT CHURCH
Then Jesus speaks to Philadelphia. No rebuke. Just reward.
“You have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.” (v.8)
This is the narrow gate. This is the remnant. They aren’t powerful. They aren’t wealthy. But they’re faithful. And because of it, Jesus gives the pre-tribulation promise:
“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”
— Revelation 3:10 (NKJV)
Kept FROM (Greek: tereō ek). Not through. Not enduring. Removed. This is the rapture promise. The open door no man can shut. The crown that won’t be taken.
SECTION 3: LAODICEA — THE LUKWARM CHURCH
Finally, Laodicea. The most sobering evaluation of all.
“You say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.” (v.17)
This is the mainstream religious establishment. Wealthy. Famous. Media-approved. But spiritually bankrupt. They marry culture to compromise. They stay silent on UAPs, moral decay, and false eschatology. They post verses but never engage the broken. They’ve locked Christ outside the door.
Jesus’s verdict? “I will vomit you out of My mouth.” (v.16) Not saved by works. Not kept by fame. Spewed out for lukewarmness.
⚖️ THE FINAL GRADE: WHICH CHURCH ARE YOU?

The enemy sifts. Christ separates. The bride must be ready. Are you working for approval, or abiding in His love? Are you faithful with little strength, or comfortable with great compromise?
SECTION 4: YOUR 5-MINUTE ACTIVATION — BE COUNTED IN PHILADELPHIA

Step 1: CHOOSE Your Anchor Verse (30 seconds)
Pick ONE verse to ground your day:
- 📖 Revelation 3:10 — “I will keep you from the hour of trial”
- 📖 Revelation 3:11 — “Hold fast… that no man take your crown”
- 📖 1 Peter 4:17 — “Judgment begins at the house of God”

Write it down. Keep it visible.
Step 2: SPEAK It Aloud 3x (30 seconds)
Read it OUT LOUD. Declare remnant identity over compromise.
Why? Speaking activates faith + rewires your mind for readiness.
Step 3: PONDER Two Questions (60 seconds)
- “Am I relying on works, fame, or comfort instead of Christ’s keeping power?”
- “What is Jesus calling me to hold fast to, repent of, or open the door to?”
Be honest. Wisdom meets you in truth.
Step 4: PRAY It Back (60 seconds)
“Lord Jesus, sift me as wheat. Keep me from the hour of trial. Strip away dead works and lukewarm comfort. I hold fast to Your word. I open the door to Your presence. Count me in the remnant. In Your name, Amen.”
Step 5: TAKE ONE ACTION (60 seconds)
- ✅ Confess one area of religious routine or compromise to a trusted believer
- ✅ Spend 15 minutes in prayer, asking Jesus to reveal your true condition
- ✅ Share this article with one person who needs this warning
- ✅ Memorize Revelation 3:10 or 3:11 this week
Physical action reinforces spiritual readiness.

Do this daily. Watch your heart align with Christ. Watch your faithfulness deepen. Watch the Bride prepare for the Groom.

✅ A — ACKNOWLEDGE Your Need for the Remnant
Works won’t save you. Fame won’t save you. Comfort won’t save you. Acknowledge your need for Christ. He alone sifts the wheat from the chaff and keeps His own safe.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
✅ B — BELIEVE Jesus Is Your Keeper
He didn’t just pray for Peter. He prays for you. His blood covers your failures. His Spirit empowers your endurance. Believe it. Receive it. Walk secure.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:27-28)
✅ C — COMMIT to Holding Fast
Commit to holding fast to Christ, not compromise. To abiding in His love, not managing religious routine. To being counted in the remnant until He comes.
“Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” (Revelation 3:11)
👉 Pray this from your heart. Right where you are:
“Lord Jesus, I acknowledge my need for You. I believe You are my Keeper. I commit to holding fast, abiding in Your love, being counted in the remnant. Seal me with Your Spirit. Make me Yours. Today and forever. Amen.”
