Divine Timing Workshop: Exposing the JW False Gospel & Equipping the Saints

Church family, welcome to a new Divine Timing Workshop. Today, we are addressing a critical spiritual battleground: Jehovah’s Witnesses. We are not attacking people; we are attacking a stronghold. We are exposing a “different gospel” of works, fear, and organizational control to rescue those who are trapped and inoculate the flock against deception.
PHASE 1: THE DIAGNOSIS (BREAKING THE ILLUSION)
The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society demands absolute adherence to its teachings, forbidding independent thought. But a simple look at their history shatters the illusion of their infallibility. Their founders confidently predicted the end of the world in 1914, 1925, and 1975. When those dates passed, they simply shifted the goalposts. Deuteronomy 18:22 is clear: a prophet who speaks in the Lord’s name and the thing does not happen is a false prophet. If the organization has been wrong about the most critical dates in history, why should we trust its “new light” on the nature of God?
PHASE 2: THE ANTIDOTE (THE BIBLICAL TRUTH)
The core heresy of the Watchtower is the demotion of Jesus Christ from Almighty God to a created being (Michael the Archangel). But Scripture is unequivocal:
- The Eternal “I AM”: Jesus declared, “Before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58), claiming the divine covenant name of God (Exodus 3:14).
- Emmanuel: He is “God with us” (Matthew 1:23). A created angel cannot be God dwelling with humanity.
- The Triune Parallel: Just as man is fearfully made as spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23), God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are distinct in person, but One in essence. It is beyond full human comprehension, but it is the most accurate, biblically faithful description of our magnificent Creator.
- The Bodily Resurrection: Jesus invited Thomas to touch His scars, proving He rose bodily, not as a mere “spirit” (Luke 24:39, John 20:27).
PHASE 3: THE TACTICS (THE “ELIJAH MODEL”)
🚪 ON-DUTY VS. OFF-DUTY REALITY CHECK
On-Duty (Door-to-Door): They are on a quota. Their primary goal is compliance, not genuine theological discovery. They believe they earn “points” toward an earthly paradise by knocking. If challenged, their training dictates they disengage and leave a tract to protect their cognitive dissonance.
Off-Duty (Coffee Shop, etc.): The organizational armor is down. They are just a person. This is where genuine, relational, grace-filled evangelism can truly thrive.
When at the door, do not try to win a 45-minute debate they are trained to walk away from. Instead, use the “Elijah Model.” Named after the prophet who stood unshakeable against the prophets of Baal, this model means we don’t yell, we don’t get angry, and we don’t argue. Instead, we calmly ask inescapable, logical questions based purely on Scripture:
Question 1 (The Logic Trap): “First Corinthians 1:24 calls Jesus the ‘wisdom and power of God.’ If you believe Jesus was created, does that mean God’s wisdom and power were created?”
Question 2 (The Authority Trap): “If the Watchtower has been wrong about the end of the world in 1914, 1925, and 1975, why should I trust their New World Translation of the Bible?”
The Exit Strategy: Present the truth calmly. Hand them our literature (or point them to our site). We are not called to force the door open; we are called to faithfully present the Truth and let the Holy Spirit do the work of conviction.
PHASE 4: WORKSHOP ACTIVATION & COMMUNITY

Take 5 minutes today to declare your freedom in Christ and prepare your heart for witness.
Step 1: READ Galatians 1:8-9 & 5:1 (60 sec)
Read aloud: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
Step 2: PRAY for the Captive (90 sec)
“Lord, I pray for anyone trapped in the false gospel of works. Shatter the illusions of the Watchtower. Give me the wisdom of Elijah to speak truth in love, and let Your Holy Spirit do the heavy lifting. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Step 3: ACT (60 sec)
