Bible Stories by Legends: The Rich Man (Not One in Compliment)
“And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.” β James 3:6 (KJV)
π§ AUDIO NARRATION: THE RICH MAN’S WARNING
Listen to the desperate, chilling warning of the Rich Man from Luke 16, speaking directly from Hades.
Watchmen, have you ever wished a biblical character could step out of the pages of Scripture and speak directly to your generation? Today, the veil is thin. In this installment of Bible Stories by Legends, we are giving a voice to a man who begged Abraham to send Lazarus back from the dead to warn his five brothers.
Though he cannot leave his place of confinement, he is permitted to speak at Divine Timing. He is not a legend of compliment. He is a legend of warning. And his message for 2026 is terrifying.
π₯ A Message from the Shadows of Hades π₯
“You might not listen to David. You might scroll past his Christian group, or ignore the other believers in your church. But you will listen to me. Because I was one of you.”
I am the Rich Man from Luke 16. I am not a legend of compliment. I am a legend of warning. I am confined to Hades. I am in a place of torment, but the Lord has permitted me to speak at Divine Timing to warn you.
You think I am here simply because I refused to help the beggar Lazarus at my gate. That is partially true. But I have another revelation for you. Look around you in 2026. I see your mainstream media. I see your social media. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Threads. I see the comments on YouTube. I see people shamelessly running their mouths, boasting, mocking God, and mocking the gospel.
“Do you know what my specific torment is here? My tongue is set on fire. It is no accident. The Book of James warned you: ‘The tongue is a fire… it is set on fire of hell.’ Because I could not control my tongue in life, it consumes me in death.”
And let me tell you, I am only on one level of Hades. There are other levels, much worse than where I am. There are torments reserved for those guilty of crimes against humanity, for the worst sexual perversion, for deceived Satanists. But for the mockers? The boastful? The fire of the tongue awaits.
Nobody gets away with mocking God. And you won’t either. Listen to David and his tight-knit band of church members. They are doing their part. Don’t be like me! Stay far, far away from this place. It was not created for you. God wants you to dwell in safety. He wants you in heaven with Him.
“If I could go back and do it all over again, I would lose every limb on my body just to be saved, just to know I would be with Jesus. But I can’t. The chasm is fixed. Don’t cross it. Get saved now.”
π THE ABCs OF SALVATION
The chasm is fixed. The time to choose is NOW. Do not wait until you are in the place of torment.
- A β ADMIT You’re a Sinner (Romans 3:23)
- B β BELIEVE Jesus Died and Rose (Romans 5:8)
- C β CONFESS Him as Lord (Romans 10:9)
Pray this from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I admit I’m a sinner. I believe You died for me and rose again. I confess You as my Lord and Savior. Write my name in the Lamb’s Book of Life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
β‘ 5-MINUTE ACTIVATION: TAMING THE TONGUE
Take 5 minutes today to examine your words and align them with the fear of the Lord.
Step 1: READ James 3:1-12 (60 sec)
Read the warning about the tongue. Reflect on how your words on social media and in daily life reflect your heart.
Step 2: PRAY (90 sec)
“Lord, set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Forgive me for the times I have mocked, boasted, or spoken carelessly. Let my words be edifying and full of grace. Maranatha. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Step 3: PONDER Proverbs 18:21 (60 sec)
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
β±οΈ Total time: 5 minutes. π₯ Result: Guarded. Reverent. Spirit-led.
Watchmen, the Rich Man’s warning is not a fairy tale. It is a stark, biblical reality. The tongue is a fire set of hell, and the culture of 2026 is playing with matches in a powder keg. Do not mock God. Do not boast in your sin. Listen to the watchmen. Listen to David and his tight-knit band. They are sounding the alarm.
