But today, we are stepping into the most explosive, fast-moving, and urgent section of Revelation 17: verses 9 through 18. We are going to answer the most critical question of the end times: What triggers the 10 horns to surrender their global power to the Beast in a single “one hour”?

And how does the current political drama in the Middle East—specifically the Abraham Accords, the “Board of Peace,” and Benjamin Netanyahu’s rejection of the Gaza deal—fit perfectly into this prophetic puzzle?

THE “ONE HOUR” FLASHPOINT: THE EARTHQUAKE TRIGGER

Revelation 17:12 tells us that the ten horns “receive power as kings one hour with the beast.” For decades, prophecy teachers have debated what this “one hour” means. Is it a literal 60 minutes? Is it a short season?

But we cannot read Revelation 17 in a vacuum. We must look at the immediate context. What happens right before this in Revelation 16:19?

“And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.”

The catastrophic, civilization-shattering earthquake has just struck Babylon (America). The global economic grid, the military umbrella, and the financial markets have instantly collapsed. The “Mega City” is in ruins.

This is the trigger. The 10 horns—the allied global superpowers—do not have time for a leisurely summit. They are facing an immediate, existential emergency. The global system is crashing. In a flashpoint emotional decision, driven by panic and self-preservation, they instantly transfer all their sovereign power to the Beast system just to keep the world from spinning into total anarchy.

The earthquake creates the crisis. The Beast offers the solution. And in “one hour,” the transfer of power is complete.

THE BEAST AND THE “BOARD OF PEACE”

But how does the Beast rise to this level of global authority before the earthquake? He doesn’t do it through military conquest alone; he does it through diplomacy. He positions himself as the ultimate peacemaker.

Look at the current headlines. The Abraham Accords are expanding. A “Board of Peace” is being formed to oversee the reconstruction of Gaza and the normalization of the Middle East. This is the exact framework the Beast will co-opt.

The Beast (likely a European or Mediterranean leader, given the 7 heads/7 mountains connection) will step into this existing peace architecture. He will take the framework built by others, inject his own globalist authority into it, and use it to confirm the final covenant with “many” (Daniel 9:27).

He will promise “peace and safety” (1 Thessalonians 5:3). He will guarantee Israel’s security. And the world will marvel after the Beast, saying, “Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:4).

THE NETANYAHU FACTOR: A HINDRANCE TO THE TIMELINE?

This brings us to a fascinating and highly sensitive political reality. Recently, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected Donald Trump’s proposed Gaza peace deal.

Now, I want to be clear: I support Israel, and I support strong leadership. But we must look at this through the lens of Bible prophecy, not political preference. If the current leadership in Israel actively hinders the “peace and safety” framework that God is orchestrating to advance the end of the Church age and the start of Jacob’s Trouble, what happens?

God’s Word does not return void. The prophetic clock is ticking. With a re-election vote coming up for Netanyahu, it is entirely possible that we are witnessing the end of his term. If he remains a hindrance to the deals that must be struck, God will raise up a new Prime Minister who is acceptable to these agreements.

A new leader will emerge who will accept the Gaza framework, embrace the Abraham Accords expansion, and ultimately, lower Israel’s guard just enough for the Beast to confirm the seven-year covenant. The prophetic timeline will not be stopped by political egos.

THE FINAL BETRAYAL: WHEN THE BEAST TURNS ON THE WHORE

Once the Beast has secured his global authority through the peace deals, and once the 10 horns have transferred their power in the “one hour” flashpoint, the final act of Revelation 17 begins.

Revelation 17:16 says: “And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.”

Here is where Robert Combs’ deep Greek analysis is absolutely critical. The word translated as “hate” is miseo. It doesn’t just mean active, burning hatred. It means to have a disregard for, or an indifference to a thing.

And the phrase “make her desolate” uses the Greek word eremos, which means abandoned to ruin.

This is the chilling reality. The 10 horns (the European and global coalition) aren’t necessarily the ones actively dropping bombs on America. Instead, they go into a passive mode. They back off. They do nothing to save her. They abandon her to ruin.

They look at the burning, earthquake-shattered Mega City, and they turn their backs. They let the fire consume her. The allies who once rode on her back, who once profited from her wealth, now stand by in cold indifference as she is destroyed.

THE PURPOSE OF GOD: FULFILLING HIS WORD

Verse 17 gives us the ultimate theological anchor for this entire chapter: “For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.”

This is not a tragedy. This is not a geopolitical accident. This is the sovereign hand of God orchestrating human history to fulfill His prophetic Word.

God is using the pride, the jealousy, the panic, and the political maneuvering of the world’s leaders to bring about the exact judgment He promised. The words of God shall be fulfilled. Every jot and tittle.

The world is about to pledge allegiance to the Beast. In the “one hour” of crisis, they will bow to his system. Where is your allegiance?
