Proverbs 10: The Tongue in the Digital Age: Wisdom vs. The Multitude of Words
“In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.”
— Proverbs 10:19-20 (KJV)

Friends, family, and Bible Study Group of Divine Timing. Welcome to Proverbs chapter 10: Wisdom in the Age of Endless Words.
When I scan this gold mine of rapid-fire, prophetic, right-now words from Solomon, I think to myself: we are the most talkative generation in human history.
Everyone has a platform. Everyone has an opinion. Everyone is arguing. Did you notice that on Facebook? How about YouTube? How about X? How about Truth Social? I have an account on all those platforms, and yes, I’m monitoring what’s happening. But what is the antidote?
THE BOMBSHELL: THE MULTITUDE OF WORDS
Here is the bombshell in Proverbs 10, verse 19: “In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.”
Think about your social media account. Do we not get censored at times for taking a stand? While we see other people get a free ride because maybe the platform favors their opinion? Social media is designed for endless words. Comment sections. Twitter threads. Facebook arguments. We speak before we think. We post before we pray.
And trust me when I tell you, I’ve seen some of the most outlandish statements that you could ever imagine. But I have a feeling I’m not alone in that department.
But what does Solomon tell us? He that refraineth his lips—and maybe your keyboard—is wise. The wisest person in the room is often the quietest person in the room.
CHOICE SILVER VS. LITTLE WORTH
And that brings us to the next parallel in Proverbs 10. It offers us a stark contrast: Choice Silver versus Little Worth.
Verse 20 says: “The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.”
Think about that. When you open your mouth, or when you type a post, what are you producing? Are your words “choice silver”? Are they valuable, refining, and full of grace? Or are they “little worth”? Are they just empty noise, tearing people down, stirring up strife?
Verse 21 takes it even further: “The lips of the righteous feed many.”
Brother, your words should feed people. When people scroll past your profile, do they find a well of life, or do they find a wasteland of complaining and arguing? Let your digital footprint be choice silver. Let it feed the hungry.
THE CLOSING ANCHOR: RICHES WITHOUT SORROW
And finally, think about this, family. The closing anchor of this chapter. Verse 22: “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”
When God blesses your mouth, your words bring richness without sorrow. No regret. No deletion. No apology. Just pure blessing!
Let your digital footprint be choice silver. Let it feed the hungry.
⚡ THE ABCs OF SALVATION
Don’t get left behind. I want you to go to heaven with the rest of us who already know the truth. Having a born-again experience is super easy. Don’t waste another second.
✅ A — ADMIT You’re a Sinner
Acknowledge that you have fallen short of God’s glory and need a Savior. You cannot save yourself.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
✅ B — BELIEVE in Jesus Christ
Believe that Jesus died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. He is the only way to the Father.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
✅ C — CALL Out to Him
Call upon the name of the Lord. Surrender your life to Him and ask Him to save you.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
Pray this from your heart. Right where you are:
“Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I call upon Your name to save me. I surrender my life to You. Thank you for saving me. Amen.”
If you prayed that, congratulations.
You didn’t earn it. You received it.
You’re SAVED AND SEALED. (Ephesians 1:13)
