Revelation 15: The Wrath of God – Victory Celebrated Before Justice Completed
“And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.”
β Revelation 15:1 (KJV)
π§ LISTEN NOW: REVELATION 15 – THE WRATH OF GOD
Victory celebrated before justice is completed. The church will not face this hour.
π§ Great and marvellous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty.
Friends and Bible Study Group of Divine Timing, while I am on my holiday time in Thailand, my work never really stops, to be honest with you. When I’m not working, I’m thinking strategically about what articles I’m going to produce next. And of course, family, you’re on my mind often.
I see the posts on social media, and my concern goes out to many. Others, when you have moments to celebrate, I celebrate with you. These are the times of reflection when you’re here with me. We all have lives to live, and we do it to the best of our ability. But it’s important that we remember God in our life, and studies like the Book of Revelation are going to absolutely help us do that.
It’s a sober reminder for what’s coming, but also a glorious one for Christians that will get to spend eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ victorious.
SEGMENT 1: THE FINAL WRATH (VERSE 1)
When I was reading Revelation 15 today, I thought, you know? There’s so many people out there that have different doctrines and positions about the timing of the Lord’s second coming. Will the church be here for the time of Jacob’s trouble and God’s wrath, or will we escape it?
And Revelation 15 tells me something very clearly. There’s the wrath of man, the wrath of Satan, and the wrath of God.
Clearly, Revelation 15 is the wrath of God that’s being poured out on the Earth through these last seven bowls. Not that it hasn’t been already during the seven years. But this is the final, complete outpouring.
SEGMENT 2: THE VICTORS ON THE SEA OF GLASS (VERSES 2-4)
And then I think of the Holy Spirit living inside of every Christian. Does it make sense that God would pour His wrath out on His Son a second time? Absolutely not!
Church, you can rest assured we won’t be here for this. Tribulation saints, however, having to endure being left behind, find victory refusing the mark of the beast and being with their Savior forever. Thanks to the 144,000 Jewish witnesses, the two witnesses, and angels proclaiming God’s truth.
Look at verses 2-4: John saw “as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.”
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.”
Victory is celebrated BEFORE justice is completed. Before the bowls are poured out, the saints are already standing victorious, worshiping the King of saints.
SEGMENT 3: THE ANGELS OF WRATH (VERSES 5-7)
Now, this is actually a very terrifying moment for the world, even though the world doesn’t realize it.
I often think about our US military and when it prepares for battle. Plans are established, and then the military moves into position to its intended targets. Look at the description here? These are battle plans that have been prepared and handed down through the proper channels.
“And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.”
These angels are in charge of execution. They have these white robes with golden sashes, which means very high rank. And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
The battle plans are in hand. The angels are in position. The wrath is ready to be poured.
SEGMENT 4: THE SHUT DOOR (VERSE 8)
And then segment 4 gives us a brief on what life is like in heaven. Apparently, the temple is open quite frequently, if not all the time, for worship.
But in this moment, it’s closed because of the intensity of the wrath that’s coming.
“And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.”
The door is shut. The intercession is paused. Judgment must run its course. The glory and power of God are so intense that no one can enter until the plagues are complete.
The battle plans are in hand. The angels are in position. The temple is shut. The wrath is coming.
Today is just a monologue, but I am going to have a full podcast embedded in this article, and I invite you to join me. We’ll talk about it, it’ll be live, and if you have questions or comments, I’m here to commune with you!
By the way, if you haven’t already and you enjoy the content here, feel free to like and subscribe, and I’ll be the first to welcome you.
Also, if you’re not a Christian and you feel God pulling on you, that now is the time, I’ve embedded the ABCs of salvation in this article, and you’ll find it down near the bottom. Follow it to the letter, please, and you will have a peace come upon you like you’ve never had before.
β‘ THE ABCs OF SALVATION
β A β ADMIT You’re a Sinner
Acknowledge that you have fallen short of God’s glory. You cannot save yourself.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
β B β BELIEVE in Jesus Christ
Believe that Jesus died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. He is the only way to the Father.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
β C β CALL Out to Him
Call upon the name of the Lord. Surrender your life to Him and ask Him to save you.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
π Pray this from your heart. Right where you are:
“Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I call upon Your name to save me. I surrender my life to You. Thank you for saving me. Amen.”
β¨ If you prayed that, congratulations. You didn’t earn it. You received it. You’re SAVED AND SEALED. (Ephesians 1:13)
