Church family, the world is normalizing the spectacle of death, and if you have eyes to see, you will recognize the prophetic pattern unfolding right before us. Just days after the botched execution of Christa Pike left her awake, speaking, and shackled to a hospital bed, breaking news has emerged: the Pentagon is preparing to live-stream a military firing squad execution.
We are moving from hidden, botched chambers to live-streamed, public spectacles of death. The world is conditioning itself to watch, judge, and even celebrate public executions.
THE EIGHTH AMENDMENT DEBATE VS. THE PROPHETIC REALITY
Officials and commentators are currently debating the “right way” to execute the condemned in America. Because the Eighth Amendment prohibits cruel and unusual punishment, some suggest a guillotine or a firing squad might be quicker and more “humane” than a botched lethal injection.
But as believers, we must look past the constitutional debate and see the spiritual reality. The world is not just seeking a more efficient method of capital punishment; it is rehearsing for a future where public, televised judgment is the norm.
THE REVELATION 11 REHEARSAL
This trend perfectly mirrors the horrifying scene described in Revelation 11. When the Two Witnesses are killed by the beast, Scripture says the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days.
And what is the world’s reaction? They do not mourn. They celebrate. They send gifts to one another. The global system will rejoice in the public, televised execution of God’s prophets. The live-streaming of modern executions is a dark shadow of this coming reality.
THE SWORD AND THE MARK OF THE BEAST
Look closely at Revelation 20:4. The Apostle John sees the souls of those who had been beheaded. Why? Because of their testimony of Jesus and because they refused to worship the beast or receive his mark on their foreheads or hands.
During the time of Jacob’s trouble, beheading by the sword will not just be a penal method; it will be the official, worldwide policy of the Antichrist to enforce ideological and spiritual compliance. All hell will break loose, and the sword will be the ultimate test of faith for those who refuse to bow to the global system.
THE RAPTURE IS NEAR
The trend is set. The world is rehearsing for the Tribulation. But church family, we are not called to watch the spectacle of the beast. We are called to be ready for the shout of the Archangel and the trumpet of God (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
Do not let your heart be troubled by the darkness of this age. The darkness is only intensifying because the Light is about to break through. Keep your robes washed. Keep your eyes on the sky.
