Imagine working for the most generous CEO in history. Discover the 11th-hour urgency of the Christian life, the Business Health Meter, and how to check in with the Boss.
Church family, grace and peace to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. How are you today? Me, I am well! Waking up to a morning cup of coffee, locked in to God’s message, and ready to execute. Ready? Good. Me too.
Many of you understand that God gives us choices. We have that freedom. Proverbs 16:1 tells us the plans of the heart belong to man. But what if I told you that, given all the choices we have, the ultimate conclusion—if we are smart—is that we really have no choice? Let me explain.
Imagine working for the most successful, powerful, and generous CEO in the history of the universe. His company owns the cattle on a thousand hills. His resources are infinite. And when you succeed in your role, who benefits? You do. It pleases the Boss, and He blesses your life.
Now imagine we are in the 11th hour of the workday. The sun is setting. The Boss is coming back to settle accounts. That is where we are in the Church age. The Master is returning, and we want to be found faithful.
THE BEST BOSS YOU EVER HAD
Think about the best job you ever had. Maybe you had a boss you actually liked. Checking in wasn’t a dreaded obligation. Communication was open, helpful, even enjoyable.
That is how our daily check-in with the Lord should be. This isn’t rigid religion. It’s a living relationship with the CEO of our souls. When we open His Word, we’re reading the corporate manual. When we pray, we have a direct line to the Boardroom of Heaven.
THE BUSINESS HEALTH METER: DIPS AND RECOVERY
Now, if you’re following this teaching on DivineTiming.io, I want you to open the featured image and really look at it, because I want to explain what you’re seeing. That graph represents what I’ll call your business health meter. But the business is really your life, and God is the ultimate CEO.
Look at the line. There are seasons when it rises—when we’re praying, opening His Word, listening, asking for direction, and allowing God to correct our course.
Then come the dips. Maybe we stop checking in. Pornography creeps in. Alcohol starts controlling us. Maybe it’s cursing, laziness, pride, anger, greed, or simply becoming so distracted by the world that we start running the company without consulting the CEO.
Now hear me carefully. I’m not saying every financial loss, failed business deal, or hardship means God is punishing you. That’s not the point. The point is direction. God gives us freedom, but choices have consequences. Choices create trajectories.
And here’s the beautiful part: the dip does not have to be the end of the graph. When we recognize the drift and turn back toward God—when we pray, open His Word, repent where necessary, and say, “Lord, I’ve been trying to run this myself. Show me what You want”—the trajectory can change.
BOARDROOM ACCESS: SEEING AROUND CORNERS
Church, that’s the opportunity: activate your faith. The Boardroom isn’t closed. You have access to the One who sees around corners you cannot see. He knows tomorrow while you’re still trying to figure out today. He knows which doors should open, which should close, what needs to leave your life, and what He wants to develop inside you.
So yes, God gives us choices. But once you understand who is sitting in that Boardroom, who knows the future, and who wants to guide you, if we’re playing it smart, what choice do we really have? Check in with the CEO.
DOING BUSINESS WITH THE KING
Jesus Himself used this business analogy. In Matthew 25, He tells the Parable of the Talents. A master entrusts his property to his servants. When he returns, he settles accounts. The faithful servants who worked with what they were given hear those beautiful words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Then in Matthew 20, the owner of the vineyard goes out at the 11th hour—just one hour before closing time—to bring in more workers. Church, look at the clock. It is the 11th hour.
THE 11TH HOUR URGENCY & GLOBAL FAMILY
Ephesians 5 tells us to make the best use of our time. And 2 Chronicles 16:9 tells us the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. He’s looking for us. He’s available to us. Why would we try to navigate this life alone?
Whether you’re in Nigeria, the Philippines, America, Latin America, Russia, or anywhere else, if you belong to the Church of the living God, we are family. We’re on the same team, working for the same Master.
So check in with Him today. Open the Word. Pray. Listen for His voice. Do business with your talents. And if your health meter has dipped, don’t stare at the dip. Turn back to the One who can redirect your path.
