Bible Stories with Legends: Richard Dreyfuss — “The Bible’s Disclosure Day”

Uh, yeah… hi. Richard here. Look, I’m gonna be honest with you. I was, uh, pretty reluctant to accept David’s invitation to come on this podcast. I mean, I’m an agnostic. I’m a Jew. I don’t exactly spend my weekends reading the Good Book.

But then I thought about it. Given my experience from the original movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind… I figured, what the hell? I decided to accept.

David told me about depictions in the Bible that actually resemble the movie I played. And now that my former director, Steven Spielberg, announced the release of this new movie very soon—The Disclosure—I guess it’s time we look at the Bible’s disclosure of paranormal activity.

THE BIBLICAL CLOSE ENCOUNTERS

And the conclusion I’m coming to in Scripture? It’s always been there. All along. With us.

I mean, think about it. I referenced Samson’s parents in Judges 13. They see this man standing before them, and then—boom—he goes up into the flames of the altar. [chuckle] I mean, that’s a beam-up if I ever saw one, right?

Then I looked at Ezekiel. Ezekiel’s description of this strange sight in chapter 1. Wheels within wheels. Eyes all around. Strange colors, fire, lightning. Sounds like a craft, doesn’t it?

REVELATION 9: THE LOCUSTS FROM THE ABYSS

And then… I look at the Book of Revelation. Chapter 9. These strange locusts that come out of the ground. But they have heads like humans. They have body armor. They have wings that sound like chariots.

Reminded me a lot of the movie I did in Close Encounters. That’s not a bug. That’s a biomechanical entity. Or, as the Bible calls them, demonic spirits released from the bottomless pit.

THE REAL DISCLOSURE: SPIRITUAL WARFARE

So, what’s the conclusion I can come to? It seems that the Bible depicts that we are in a spiritual battle. A battle that often manifests itself to deceive mankind.

Whatever Steven has in this new movie… we better make sure that we keep in mind what Scripture says about these things. Because it’s very important if we’re truth seekers.

Are we alone in the world and in the universe? The answer is a foregone conclusion. We’ve never been alone.

But the question is… who is it that’s out there? Who is it that’s here? Maybe the Bible gives the answer. And maybe… just maybe… it’s not little green men. Maybe it’s something a lot older. And a lot more dangerous.
